Cory Hubbard
President and Owner
Cory Hubbard is the founder and visionary behind Forest Forward. Hubbard earned his Master of Science, Civil Engineering from Lakehead University specializing in heavy timber connections and fire resistance. His background in glulam operations and experience researching engineered wood along with his passion for building businesses with social and environmental conscience will help Forest Forward develop into an innovative, quality-focused, reliable manufacturer and supplier of mass timber in the region today while researching Mass Timber 2.0 solutions for tomorrow.
Hubbard holds two patents for a new method of connecting mass timber joints that increases fire resistance.


Frank Huard
Project Manager
Frank Huard is a Professional Engineer with over 40 years of experience in project and construction management, maintenance, manufacturing, engineering, and R&D for large OEM Projects. He successfully managed several domestic and international capital projects with experience in the following fields: sawmilling, engineered wood products, material handling, construction/infrastructure, road transport, mechanized forestry equipment, pulp and paper recycling equipment, mobile and stationary mining equipment, foundry equipment, erection, water treatment, telecommunication, site security, training and commissioning of facilities, ISO Implementation, and QA/QC Systems. Frank has extensive knowledge of Northern Ontario from his work with Domtar on operational and capital projects for the Domtar mill in Red Rock and a sawmill in White River. His national and international experience makes him the ideal project manager.
Andrew Kane
Business Consultant
Andrew Kane has over 40 years of experience in the natural resource sector in forestry and mining from both public and private sector perspectives. Kane specializes in making connections between businesses, government agencies, and other stakeholders across Ontario and especially Northwestern Ontario. Before launching his consultancy business, Andrew Kane and Associates, he was Natural Resources Business Development Manager at the Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC). During his career, Kane has also worked at KBM Resources and the Ontario Ministry of Energy, Northern Development and Mines. Kane will assist with managing the business aspects of Forest Forward.
